The PHENSOL LA7 line comprises different grades of ethoxylated alcohol obtained by the reaction of naturally-derived lauryl alcohol with ethylene oxide (EO) and can be represented by the following general structure:

RO (CH2 CH2 O)xH

where “x” represents the average number of moles of ethylene oxide and “R” represents the carbon chain of lauryl alcohol.

PHENSOL LA7 ( Laureth-7)  products can be used as degreasers, detergents, emulsifiers, co-emulsifiers, solubilizers, thickeners, foaming agents and dispersants. Due to their detergency, emulsification, wetting and surface tension reduction properties, they find utility in home and commercial laundry detergents, degreasers for automobile parts and fabrics, and a wide variety of hard surface cleaners and car care formulations. Because of their emulsification properties, they are recommended for water-based liquid waxes containing a mixture of carnauba wax and paraffin and for d-limonene and pine oil-based cleaners.
